Reaction: I wrote that short poem about the first week. I am glad that I stuck it out to the end.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s your first official job and you\u2019re three days in.<\/p>\n

You want to quit but you\u2019re gonna make it to the end.<\/p>\n

This is your city and you\u2019re so close to home.<\/p>\n

Remember that you can handle everything that\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n

The dorms are cold and the office is too<\/p>\n

But who is better suited for this type of work than you?<\/p>\n

The work is real and the stress doesn\u2019t make it any better.<\/p>\n

Yet, you have to do quality work in case you need that recommendation letter.<\/p>\n

Try to make friends because I\u2019m sure the people are nice.<\/p>\n

This is your time, so try to live a memorable life.<\/p>\n

After many people\u00a0read my first posts they felt bad for me \u00a0and hoped things would get better but,\u00a0honestly nothing was really wrong with me. I did not like the 9-5 style\u00a0job and that’s no different than what everyone \u00a0else was was saying when we were getting adjusted to these “real” jobs. Being saying the dorms and office was cold was not about the atmosphere\u00a0or anything deep, I was literally saying the office and the room are always cold because of the air conditioning. I really really really hate being cold temperature wise.<\/p>\n

I knew that this would be a challenge because I had never done anything like this but I also knew that I was not a quitter. I know that because everyone didn’t (and still don’t know me like that) they thought I was miserable because I wasn’t as vocal as everyone else, or because of my laid back and nonchalant demeanor but it was just a difference\u00a0in personalities.<\/p>\n

The final project was something that made me really grateful that I stuck around to finish this internship. I love education and am extremely happy that I got to make a \u00a0positive impact on my city, and in an area that I plan to specialize in.<\/p>\n
