\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Wow, I can\u2019t believe how fast these 10 weeks have flown by. \u00a0I\u2019ve learned so much during my time with CPC and DCBRP. \u00a0In my first letter I wrote about connections. \u00a0I hoped to leave my placement feeling connect to the people I worked with, and as I hug everyone goodbye on my last day I feel really happy with the connections I\u2019ve made, the only downside being that I\u2019m so sad to be leaving! \u00a0I also wanted to feel more connected to Detroit which I feel I\u2019ve accomplished. \u00a0I\u2019ve met so many Detroiters and even the mayor, in my free time I experienced different parts of Detroit I never had before. \u00a0I tried new restaurants, rode the Qline\/people mover, and went to DCFC games. \u00a0Finally, I was able to make new friends as I spent time with my roommates and the other DCBRPers. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I got so much more out of this program than I ever could have hoped. \u00a0My desires to work in public health and with underserved populations has grown immensely after my experiences in Detroit. \u00a0I\u2019ve interacted with so many amazing community members who are all doing amazing things and I can\u2019t wait to work with them further in the future. \u00a0I will forever be grateful for this program and especially for Yvette, Alex, and the people of Chandler Park. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
