As I mentioned last week, I am partnered with Hope Village Revitalization, a community development organization working to improve health and quality of life in Detroit\u2019s Hope Village while prioritizing sustainability and equity. My research project consists of a few parts. I am tasked with creating visual marketing materials for the Hope Village Farmers Market and other community events hosted by the organization, such as an upcoming Community Health and Wellness Fair. Each Wednesday at the Farmers Market, I gather sales data from each vendor and survey community members on market experience and satisfaction. At the end of the summer, I will compare 2022 market data to data from 2020 and 2021 to track market growth and create goals for 2023. I am also working on \u201cHealth Wisdom\u201d content for the HVR website so that community members can find easily digestible information on health conditions such as asthma and diabetes. Thankfully, I really enjoy each part of my project!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, the DCERP experience has been fun! It has been great getting to know everyone and learning about their passions and projects.
