My next task <a href=\"http:\/\/shelbync.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/06\/smoking-can-kill.jpg\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" id=\"i-5\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"http:\/\/shelbync.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/06\/smoking-can-kill.jpg?w=265\" \/><\/span><\/a>was to compile a powerpoint presentation that summed up what I learned. A few interesting facts I learned are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff\">&#8220;There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes. When burned, they create more than 4,000 chemicals. At least 50 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer, and many are poisonous. &#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff\">Tobacco use causes more than 440,000 deaths each year in the US.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff\">&#8220;Approximately 60% of people in the United States have biological evidence of\u00a0secondhand smoke\u00a0exposure.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff\">And the above are just a\u00a0<strong>FEW of the many\u00a0<\/strong>facts associated with tobacco use. It&#8217;s amazing to me that there are\u00a0<strong><em>so many\u00a0<\/em>health risks\u00a0<\/strong>that can come from what others see as just moments of pleasure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><a href=\"http:\/\/shelbync.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/06\/i-speak-spanglish.jpg\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" id=\"i-17\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"http:\/\/shelbync.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/06\/i-speak-spanglish.jpg?w=260\" \/><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff\">After finishing my powerpoint it was time to translate it -_-. Yes, I have been excited to use more Spanish but this task was not easy because I am not fluent\u00a0<em><strong>yet.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>My supervisor is now in the process of looking over my translation and I am learning more about some of the mistakes I made and also some of the differences between the Spanish I have learned and the specific language that Mexicans use. Some people assume that Spanish is just Spanish but trust me that is not the case.
