We<br>had 71 volunteers join us, along with four local organizations, to contribute to some meaningful projects<br>across the Ann Arbor community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Working Together<br><\/strong>Collaboration played a big role in this event. We worked alongside Letters of Love, the HomeFree<br>Initiative, Supplies for Scholars, and COHAP to set up six stations. Each station focused on addressing<br>certain needs within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blanket Making: In partnership with the HomeFree Initiative, we created blankets for the<br>Delonis Shelter and Peace Neighborhood Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Card Making: With guidance from Letters of Love, we made cards to send positive<br>thoughts to the VA Medical Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utensil and Hygiene Kits: Volunteers helped put together kits that will be distributed<br>through Hope Clinic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dental Hygiene Kits: COHAP supported us in assembling dental care kits for local<br>distribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School Supply Kits: Supplies for Scholars led efforts to gather school materials for local<br>students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Looking Back<br><\/strong>The contributions didn\u2019t just happen during the event. We received donations from local businesses,<br>hotels, and dental clinics, which helped us provide necessary items at each station. It&#8217;s a good reminder<br>of what we can achieve when various groups come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>What\u2019s Next?<br><\/strong>Our Day of Service isn&#8217;t the end of our engagement with the community. We\u2019re aiming to continue building<br>our presence at U of M and throughout Ann Arbor. This involves exploring more collaborations, planning<br>further service activities, and reaching out to share what we do.<br>If you&#8217;re interested in getting involved, we could use your support, whether that means participating in<br>future events or simply sharing our efforts.
