Abstract

This research project is in conjunction with the “Research Administration Advisory Council (RAAC) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Workgroup.” The focus is developing and executing a series of dialogue sessions for the university research staff to come speak and learn about implicit biases they may hold. The purpose of this project is to provide a space for staff to come in and have uncomfortable conversations around implicit bias, racism, sexism, etc. Not only by doing that are they acknowledging the ones they may hold, but can teach them solutions to work through it and better improve themselves. The idea isn’t to seek new knowledge, but to provide a resource to expand on the knowledge already in place and educate others.
