Abstract

Turn up Turnout aims to provide nonpartisan information on the voting process and other issues topical to student voters. Throughout the year, TUT has presented virtual “Dinners for Democracy”, which are peer-led presentations on different topics such as the judicial system, racial justice and education policy. Throughout the year I have managed TUT’s social media, website, and outreach programs, allowing me to understand what marketing and tri-campus outreach methods are most effective for spreading the word about these educational opportunities to UM students on the Dearborn, Flint, and Ann Arbor campuses. Throughout the project, there were equal parts website management, graphic design, and educational outreach across campuses and departments, leading me to have a better understanding of what methods were most effective in promoting TUT’s educational dinners throughout the year.
