Abstract
Cryptococcus has been proven to be successfully treated with T-Cell depletion, therefore, we looked to further this investigation by depleting two different t-cells, CD-4 T-cells and CD-8 T-cells. After running survival tests, however, it was found that the CD-4 T-cell depleted mice survived longer, however, the CD-8 T-cell depleted mice were not. To further this investigation we plan on running more survival tests of the CD-8 T-cell depleted mice and run PCR, flow cytommetry, and CFU’s to find the reason for this difference in treatment success.
