Abstract
The sikhchich.com project aims to reinvigorate a dormant website aimed at connecting Sikhs from across the English-speaking world through their shared and unique experiences as a part of the Sikh diaspora. Although the magazine has not been updated since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it continues to maintain an interested user base who are keen to see their identity represented and to engage with content pertaining to their identity. For the Winter 2022 semester, editors, like myself, are focusing efforts on both consistently uploading posts and redesigning the website with available tools. We are redesigning the website with the goal of making it more visually appealing and modern. Regarding posts, our task includes gathering appropriate articles on Sikh life from around the world as well as kindling fresh posts from students, both diasporic and non-diasporic. Posts of the latter kind will come from courses based on Sikhi and Sikhs. Such posts may also be written by the editors themselves. Regarding the design aspects of the website, editors are utilizing a photo editing software while working closely with the administrators of the project to develop a suitable, comfortable space in which the content shared can be enjoyed both aesthetically and intellectually.
