Abstract

This study seeks to determine whether or not Whole Health approaches to patient care were successful in improving the overall wellbeing of the patient. It aims to investigate which approaches to health (both physical and mental health) are beneficial for certain groups of individuals, and how 8 individual areas of Whole Health affect veteran care.. The practical application of this research, then, is to find the ways in which the medical field as a whole can improve patient care through Whole Health, and what manners for doing so are successful. The research team individually researched particular areas of Whole Health. They then created a survey targeted to an audience of veterans, family of veterans, and health care professionals in the Veterans Association. The survey was distributed, and received 254 responses. Data is currently being analyzed using various statistics, and data/analysis of data will be presented at the upcoming poster symposium.
