Abstract

How would children like to use technology to develop and perform their health-related routines? Our research uses thirty-three semi-structured interviews with children, ages 7 to 12, and their families toward answering this question. We transcribed these interviews and analyzed the qualitative data using thematic analysis. Our insights include frequent patterns seen throughout the interviews on how children want technology to influence their health and well-being. We have found that families incorporate technology into their routines in ways that are beneficial for them in order to accompany their way of life during the pandemic and beyond. This research will contribute insights as to how children envision technology as a part of their routines.
