Abstract
Emergency Response systems to deliver pre-hospital care is practiced differently across different geographical and political climates. This is in large part due to the many challenges posed by delivering pre-hospital care that is both safe and effective. Some of these challenges include rapid transportation, resource management, training of EMTs, and reaching rural communities. Each of these questions could warrant individual papers examining the problem and providing potential solutions based on the data. However, the aim of our paper is not to provide solutions to these questions rather it is to culminate all the questions that are being asked and those that are not asked and to examine the merits of each. By sampling different countries with different geographies, resources, and populations we seek to compartmentalize and categorize the issues in one place so that both the research and gray literature can be examined in the future as optimal solutions to these problems are examined thoroughly. Our team has combed through existing research and gray literature to categorize them and provide a database of reliable research to depend on in the future. These findings will hopefully eventually serve as an effective starting point for those who wish to examine individual issues more thoroughly and examine the merits of different systems of delivery.
