Abstract
Human trafficking is an issue that affects every single country in the world, but it is not spoken about very often. The purpose of this website is to do just that by focusing on a single country (Nigeria) and breaking down the several layers to this complex problem in that respect. Through interviews with survivors of human trafficking and introduction to the history of Nigeria in relation to human trafficking, this website hopes to provide readers and viewers with a greater understanding of the topic at large. The several topics touched upon include government corruption in Nigeria, causes of human trafficking, solutions to human trafficking, the human experience with human trafficking, and routes/patterns of human trafficking. Several types of resources were used in this research: library databases, studies and other research pertaining to the topic, articles, etc. The social benefit of this research is that people who have been human trafficked have their stories told, people more susceptible to human trafficking may see our website and properly understand the topic, and the general populace recognizes how widespread human trafficking is and that it happens in every country.
