Abstract
There are drugs currently available that show signs of improving tissue health in humans as they age by affecting the intracellular signaling pathways, but the mechanism by which they work exactly is unknown. Our lab focuses on one certain drug, Canagliflozin, and seeing how it works by medicating mice with it and running western blots to visualize the various proteins and RNAs. By doing this, we hope to improve health in during aging and maybe even extend the lifespan.
