Abstract

Lung transplantation has a 10-year survival rate of ~10%, lower than any other solid organ transplant. Patients with end-stage lung diseases have limited options other than transplant, necessitating better treatments to mitigate chronic injury caused by donor immune cells. The restrictive phenotype of chronic rejection, RAS, is caused by infiltrating B cells. Here we investigate their origins and how these cells are recruited to the lung.
