Abstract
As our access to data becomes more convenient, it is always important to question the precision and accuracy of the data. Drawing on the final product presented in the program that will be run in the future, the research attempts to recognize the political factors that influence the production of “big data” in government. My contribution to this project is to collect essential information from each bureau’s website, storing the essential information in an Excel sheet for future reference. During the data collection process various problems were encountered, such as data accessibility, accuracy, and missing observations. To solve these issues, I have employed a range of tools and sources to obtain reliable data. Furthermore, to cross-validate information and ensure reliability, I collect evidence from alternative official sources rather than relying solely on one source. Overall, the key takeaway message of the project is that it is essential to critically evaluate the precision and accuracy of government data, and to utilize a variety of tools and alternative sources to collect and validate information to promote transparency and accountability in government data
