Abstract

Abstracting away from the classical growth theory, this study develops a firm growth model that integrates innovation and competitions. In addition, this study also looks into the relationship between competition and innovation. This is done by analyzing the decision making process of firms in the oil and gas industry as well as the role that innovation and competition plays to the growth of firms in the oil and gas industry.
