Abstract

Researchers in the field of political science often encounter difficulty in accessing data on past elections, particularly at the constituency level. This information is often not readily available to the public, presented in a challenging format, or not digitized. My research aims to address this data scarcity by gathering constituency-level election information from around the world and compiling it into a uniform, easily accessible Excel form. We work with countries and libraries to acquire the raw data on elections and then organize it for future researchers. My hypothesis is that we will be able to include many elections in our database, which will provide invaluable insights into how elections are conducted across the globe. Our data has the potential to help researchers uncover the most effective means of conducting elections, which can benefit everyone living under any government. The availability of this data will broaden the scope of political science research and lead to exciting new discoveries.
