Abstract
Artificial intelligence, or the intelligence of machines to perform human tasks, has been developing rapidly. I studied the impacts of AI, GAI, and PAI on digital marketing, search engine optimization, and analytics. I dove into the opportunities, risks, and challenges associated with AI and its growth, specifically within the space of media and entertainment. To find results, I read several articles and joined zoom meetings with industry professionals. Within media and entertainment, I created several subcategories including fraud detection, real vs. fake news, image generation, predictive patterns, real time responses, facial recognition, and more. Furthermore, at the symposium, I plan on conducting a survey with those who attend to further understand the prominence of AI across generations. I learned a lot about how AI becomes so efficient, like when large amounts of data are available. I also learned about the different types of AI. For example, traditional artificial intelligence is based on rules, while predictive artificial intelligence is data-driven. Furthermore, I learned about the different types of predictive AI including regression analysis, classification, and clustering. Overall, this research helps illustrate that AI has infiltrated every industry but some more than others. With the automation of tasks constantly impacting jobs, AI is so important to understand. It begs the question if there is anything that AI will not be able to do.
