Abstract
The research I have been doing with professor Daugirdas is pertaining to International organizations. The project covers international organizations over multiple decades. The goal of the project is to see if there is a relation to International organizations founding governments and the governments that are members in the International organization. The project wants to see how membership of these International organizations has changed over time. To get my results I read the YBIO(Yearbook of International Organizations) from 1970. We have a google sheet with all of the organizations I am supposed to find. The Y axis contains the organizations and the X axis contains countries. I analyzed the YBIOs member data and put in a 1 in the spreadsheet for all of the countries that were in the organization. There were over 200 organizations in the spreadsheet. We have seen that there is not as big a correlation as initially expected between International Organizations founding States governments and the governments of that organization’s member states. Another finding I had in this project was that there have been many new countries since 1970 which was not expected from me. The overall findings as of now have implicated that the founding state of an organization does not have a major impact on the governments of member states.
