Abstract

Mannose-6-phosphate pathway plays an important role in transporting lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi to the lysosome. GNPT is an enzyme in the Golgi that modifies the lysosomal enzymes by adding the mannose-6-phosphate group to them, and TMEM251 is a protein that acts as an anchor that holds GNPT in the Golgi. In this study, the goal is to understand which part of TMEM251 is responsible for its function and its localization.
