Abstract
User Experience (UX) is vital in facilitating effective collaboration. The nationwide MyVoice Text Message Cohort (DeJonckheere et al., 2017) assesses user experience to ensure accessibility, usability, and engagement of their participants. In the past, MyVoice, a national text message poll of youth, has conducted self-evaluation surveys in 2017 and 2019 to understand the participants’ experience. MyVoice partners with numerous community collaborators and other researchers to understand youth perspectives on diverse issues informing policies and practice. This project aims to maximize MyVoice’s impact by evaluating these community collaborators’ experiences to make collaboration more effective and accessible. Past and current community collaborators will be sent a Qualtrics survey through email containing eight questions: 1. Tell us about how you first got involved with MyVoice. 2. What was challenging about working with MyVoice? 3. What would make it easier to collaborate with MyVoice? 4. Tell us about your experience analyzing MyVoice data. What went well or was challenging? 5. What was the outcome of your work with MyVoice? 6. Have you been keeping up with the work of MyVoice? Why or why not? 7. Would you recommend working with MyVoice? If yes, who would you recommend working with MyVoice? 8. Is there anything else you would like to share with the MyVoice team? The open-ended responses from the survey will be analyzed using a qualitative research approach. The findings will provide insight into the community collaborators’ experiences and can be used by the MyVoice team to improve their collaborator experience and increase the number of community collaborators.
