Abstract
Environmental factors and health impacts are often studied independently, but there are very few studies comparing and analyzing how they are connected. Environmental factors are prevalent, and have a significant impact on human health in many ways. Previous studies analyzing human health and the environment have focused on very small sample sizes, and very specific environmental factors. With our scoping literature review, we plan to compile a manuscript that analyzes the relationship between certain environmental factors and their human health impacts. We plan to extract data from studies performed between 1990 and 2023, and from all around the globe. Preliminary results suggest that poor air quality has a significant impact on respiratory health, especially in the scope of public health implications. Similarly, developmental delays and poor mental health are related to certain environmental factors. The contributions of our research are significant because it will provide a localized area for environmental health. People will be able to read the data and manuscript and gain a strong understanding for how certain environmental factors impact human health. This will offer guidance for future decision making and policy making.
