Abstract
In Metro Detroit, like many urban areas, ozone levels can pose significant environmental and health concerns. Ozone is a key component of smog, formed when pollutants from vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions, and other sources react with sunlight. High levels of ozone can lead to a range of health problems, particularly for vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions like asthma. It is our goal to document the effects of ozone on zipcode 48217, which is in the Detroit Metro Area, both from a technical and resident-activist perspective.
