Abstract
With around 29% of Americans identifying as neurodivergent, accurate representation at the federal level is essential. While societal awareness of neurodivergence has grown, federal protections have not kept pace, leaving significant gaps in support. Although existing disability laws offer some protection, they often fail to address the specific needs of the neurodivergent community. This research aims to identify these gaps and propose policy adaptations to provide better support to neurodivergent individuals, specifically neurodivergent workers. Ultimately, the goal is to inspire a call to action for more equitable and empowering federal laws that truly understand and uplift neurodivergent communities.
