Abstract
Despite the vast research in academia on the multiple aspects of neurodiversity, little is known or done by institutions to address the community’s needs, there isn’t even a straightforward definition of “neurodiversity†in the American Disabilities Act (ADA). Across universities and institutions there are gaps in providing staff members with accommodations, improving campus climate, and expanding resources of the neurodivergent community in professional settings. This study has aimed to assess the gaps in what resources the University of Michigan provides and what the neurodivergent community needs through a thorough and sensitive survey. Studies like this need to be conducted since they add nuance to our understanding on how to make our university accessible and inclusive.
