Abstract

Psychiatric clinical care often relies on retrospective self-reports, which can be unreliable and time-consuming. Patients may struggle to recall past events accurately, while clinicians invest considerable effort in reconstructing symptom patterns and stressors. To address this challenge, a novel solution called inMyVoice integrates real-time, voice-based mood and stressor diaries with generative AI. Patients record brief daily voice entries, which are transcribed, analyzed, and summarized by the AI system. The system identifies key themes, organizes data logically, and highlights clinically relevant details. This enables clinicians to access an organized dashboard summarizing mood patterns, stressors, and concerning behaviors before sessions. As a result, clinicians can focus on clarifying details and building therapeutic rapport, while patients feel better heard and supported. This innovative approach enhances clinical efficiency and improves patient care by capturing critical insights as they unfold.
