Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of an LPAR1 inhibitor in treating heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) using a mouse model. Treatment with the LPAR1 inhibitor slightly reduced weight gain, decreased cardiac inflammation induced by a high-fat diet (HFD) combined with L-NAME administration, and improved cardiac function following myocardial infarction (MI). Although the LPAR1 inhibitor did not significantly affect blood pressure or glucose tolerance, it attenuated cardiac inflammation and reduced lung fluid retention. These findings suggest that LPAR1 inhibition holds potential therapeutic value for mitigating inflammation and improving cardiac outcomes in HFpEF.
