Abstract
My project aims to discover whether or not the arrival of COVID (2020) caused any change in voting behavior in Michigan, specifically when it comes to electing people in Michigan to the United States House of Representatives. The people impacted by my research study are people eligible to vote in Michigan and academics interested in voting behavior. The data will come from a spreadsheet that has sorted elections statistics into columns of data that have been vetted by a senior research assistant. The way this study will measure change is by seeing if 2020 caused any abnormal voting patterns, such as more people voting for Democratic or Republican candidates, increased/decreased turnout, etc. The 2020 election will be contrasted to the years prior, starting from 2000, as well as available elections after.
