While I am eager to continue the research that I started during my freshman year, I am slightly unsure about how I will adjust to the more rigorous environment. Right now, my primary concerns are avoiding procrastination on my research hours and maintaining excellent communication with all necessary figures. I find that organization isn\u2019t really problematic for me, or even making schedules, its sticking to them. I hope to overcome these challenges and be left with a solid footing for the upcoming school year.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from research though, my summer is filled with a variety of smaller goals that I hope to achieve. I continuously strive for self-improvement, an aspect of my personality, and I hope to make some headway in the personal arena. Some of these goals include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise<\/li>\n<li>Regularly consume vitamins<\/li>\n<li>Be very comfortable with Ann Arbor streets, directions by exploring the city<\/li>\n<li>Read two books per month<\/li>\n<li>Get outside everyday<\/li>\n<li>Build resume, revamp<\/li>\n<li>Build profiles on Handshake, UCAN, LinkedIn, LSA Hub<\/li>\n<li>Create a social media presence (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)<\/li>\n<li>Write about life, politics, anything, just write<\/li>\n<li>Land internship on campaign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I hope that by the conclusion of the summer that I will be able to say I accomplished some of what I set out to do.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n<p>Pragya Thakur<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Future Self, The opportunity to participate in the Women and Gender Studies Fellowship Program (WAGSFP) is one that I am looking forward to with nervous anticipation.
