This summer I will be developing a survey to be launched in the fall that will shed some light on the experiences gay men have in terms of sexual identity, coming out, learning the about the community, dating, and sexual encounters. With this information, I would like to inform Spectrum Center (the LGBTQ+ safe space on campus) and SAPAC (The Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center) on campus, providing them some data that will hopefully influence the way they provide programming for gay men. Ideally, this would make the transition for gay men from high school to college easier as well as provide them support.

As this data is is very sensitive, research ethics is very important to my research. Confidentiality is crucial for my survey, so identifiers that may out someone would not be included such as their name. Another problem I may face is honesty. I will need to cater my survey questions to make sure they will come across as genuine as possible.

I would really appreciate bouncing ideas off of you all. Once I have my survey mostly built, I would appreciate it if you all could review it. Thank you!
