From the time I spent with Joe Salvatore, I realized that there are actually many goals I have.\u00a0 Besides getting my poster ready for the upcoming UROP symposium, some other goals include finding journals to publish any sort of research paper I decide to make on my study in the future, getting ready for a trip I have to make to Columbus, OH for a club I’m a part of, finishing up some secondary applications for DO schools, trying my hand out at applying for gap year opportunities (like Fulbright and Luce Scholars, among others), seeing whether I can do some stuff for other clubs I’m in while I’m in Ann Arbor, and creating a bucket list.\u00a0 This is obviously a lot of stuff (but hopefully, I’ll manage my time wisely).<\/p>\n
I’m looking forward to the opportunities I have in the symposium and beyond it when I finally get started on making the paper for my senior honors thesis and get ready for med school interviews.\u00a0 Something I learned about myself is that I take on a lot of things that I really want to do (as one can tell from the first paragraph), but if I pace myself and put the effort and determination towards what I want, I can accomplish anything.\u00a0 Biggest challenge for me would be trying to manage all of my tasks though.\u00a0 Triumphs currently involve finishing up my primary med applications, moving along with my research project, and taking care of myself mentally and emotionally (something that’s always been hard for me to do over the school year cause of the stuff I take on).\u00a0 Mistakes I made were many, but some include me initially not prioritizing my tasks properly, but successes came around when I usually prioritized first, and put my mind on it afterwards to try and see if I can succeed.\u00a0 And if I fail, then I simply try again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
