Being a WAGSFP fellow has been a great experience. For me, the best part of the program was having the opportunity to meet my research mentor and having access to all the resources that UROP has available. It has been really neat to somewhat get to know the other WAGSFP fellows. Since everyone has varying disciplines of interest, I feel that I’ve been able to learn about different areas of research. Also, some of the seminars were very helpful, such as the one about negotiating your salary. The journal club presentation seminars provided a good opportunity to practice presentation skills in a low-stakes environment.<\/p>\n
Overall,\u00a0 I feel like my participation in WAGSFP has helped me not only hone my research skills but it has also helped me develop a better sense of what I want to do in the future– which I realized might actually not be research.
