My research project is “Assessing Educational Quality: A Comprehensive Literature Review on Key Determinants, Measurement Metrics, and Emerging Trends in K-12 Education”. Our research team is attempting to understand the meaning of educational quality and what variables account for the true quality of education. We are currently in the literature review process, screening articles from multiple databases’s such as PubMed, Google Scholar, ERIC, and SCOPUS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One potential impact of this research could be the increasing in the quality of education that is received by children in K-12 schools. If out research is able to effectively display the relationship between educational quality and health outcomes, policies and programs could be implemented to make the necessary changes to make positive education more equitable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another potential impact of this research could be negative reactions from researchers, scholars, or the general public. If we are able to discuss the inequitable resources provided to school programs in different parts of the United States, we are ultimately unveiling discrimination and a lack of equal opportunities for all people. With these greatly impactful findings come strong personal beliefs that could be both positive and negative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My role in this research project is an Undergraduate Research Assistant. I work alongside another Undergraduate Research Assistant to complete a literature analysis of our research question. Our findings will be used in a future manuscript to advocate for more equitable resources and programs to enhance the quality of education across the U.S. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Research ethics could play a major role in our project. Our findings from the literature review must be entirely accurate to ensure that the information we are spreading to others is correct and accurately reflects the current needs of the U.S. education system. If we conduct research in a lazy or inaccurate manner, our findings and discussion can incorrectly influence future policies or harm the current positive aspects of the education system. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
