PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT
TRAINING COURSE IN FMRI
July 31, 2023 – August 11, 2023

The University of Michigan announces a training course in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Functional MRI has become an important addition to the toolbox of cognitive and affective neuroscientists, but substantial training is required to implement an fMRI experiment. The University will offer a 2-week intensive course from July 31, 2023-August 11, 2023, that will train attendees on the motivation for using fMRI, the physics that underlies the technique, the design of experiments, the acquisition of data, the analysis of those data, and the interpretation of brain activations that result. The course is intended for potential users of the technique, including graduate and postdoctoral students, as well as established biomedical researchers who wish to incorporate this technique into their work. The course is only available to members of the University of Michigan community this year because we were unable to obtain funding thIs year. Next year this may change. Watch this site for updates.
