Abstract

Coursera, as you may know, as a free to use website that gives you access to hundreds of different courses for you to use however you like. The purpose of this project was to help make edits on the course sections as well as find valuable information and provide feedback that will be helpful for the Good with Sentences Coursera course. Using UMICH’s vast library, we were able to find many quotes that will be used in future. We also held live meetings through Zoom on correlating subjects and collected as well as provided information on what things we could do better for the course, such as locating new material, providing feedback, or ways to improve its accessibility. We also focused on the marketing aspect of this course within meetings and providing input on what could be done in order to get the word of this course out there. It’s important for this course to be the best that it can, since it’ll serve as a template for future courses on similar topics, so we must test these new formats out in order to see if it does the trick well. Another focus of ours has been monitoring feedback from something called Edit our Edits: Good with Words. The idea of it was to ask students for their opinions on the course and what we should change, get rid of, and keep. This was done through the use of Google Forms and Google Sheets in order to keep everything organized as well as to give us the ability to see every response.
