Abstract
Within ODESI’s research project, we have pursued many mini projects that took place in the first semester. Some of these projects included reaching out to people in power in companies and finding out what their work life is like, including their passion for the job, their performance, their mental health, and their struggles. We then ask these same questions to their employees. We did this through surveys sent out to the CEO, manager, executive director, etc. as well as the employee. Furthermore, we scheduled zoom interviews with nonprofit leaders to talk about their experience and propose being a leader of a product/purpose that they are passionate about. The goal is to research how fulfilling leadership and work is for different kinds of leaders and people. ODESI seeks out new information about what work fulfillment means to people in charge or all kinds of jobs. For this upcoming semester, we will be focusing on mainly one big project: behavior labs. From January until April, we will be conducting behavioral labs and monitoring different participants for different tasks throughout the semester. This will begin from the end of January and will wrap up the semester until April. Our goals and objectives for this project include observing how people in power take advantage of other people, especially as it pertains to customer service.
