Abstract
Despite the vast resources provided by the university to combat mental health, these are not easily accessible for students and faculty. By compiling a database of all the university’s mental health resources, we can create an app for the University of Michigan. Through this app, we can make mental health resources more accessible to everyone on campus. An analysis of this app yields various resources that help students and faculty improve their mental health. When using the app, users can fill out a screening. The app provides resources intended for that specific user through this screening. This process makes it easier for users to find resources most suited to their needs. Furthermore, users can save resources, so they can easily find them on the app in the future, look at what they have used in the past, and see past screenings. This app is important for the University of Michigan and for all students and faculty on campus because mental health is a growing concern and something the university has to make a priority. Overall, this app will help students and faculty feel safer and more at home. By creating an app, we are making these mental health resources accessible to everyone because all you need is a mobile device. Rather than having information overload and not knowing where to look, having this app makes it a lot easier for users to know what they are looking for, and to easily find it.
