Abstract

The project aims to enhance the functionality of the existing website humanshape.org, which offers realistic human body shape models based on real measurement data developed by the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. The enhancement involves implementing a feature that allows users to generate custom 3D ear-shape model files based on specified parameters. First, the project involves integrating a 3D scanned ear shape model onto the website. This model provides an intuitive way to generate a subject-specific detailed 3D ear geometry using three shape parameters. Generated models can be downloaded by the user for their individual requirements, whether for research, medical purposes, or personal projects. Second, we implemented the server-side functionality to provide a more reliable way to implement complex computations on the current statistical models on the server side. In addition, rigorous testing and optimization were conducted to ensure seamless user experience and accurate file generation. By providing users with the ability to customize and download 3D ear shape models, the project aims to improve the accessibility and usability of anatomical data for diverse applications. Through this project, humanshape.org seeks to empower users with customizable anatomical data, fostering innovation and exploration in various fields related to human anatomy and beyond.
