Abstract
The rapid growth of emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICTS), including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data analytics, offers transformative potential for sustainable development, addressing up to 70 percent of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGS). Consequently, these innovations and technological advances also bring challenges, such as increased energy consumption, e-waste, and social inequalities. The aim of the study is to conduct a longitudinal study using data from the press releases of top S&P 500 IT firms. The study uses textual analysis and machine-learning tools to examine the collaboration patterns and sustainability priorities over time. The findings highlight the motivations for the collaborations, changes in sustainability focus over time, and the collective efforts to advance sustainability transition in the IT sector. The study provides valuable insights into how the IT business ecosystem stakeholders collaborate to advance sustainable development.
