What is this site – who created it – why should you trust it
Genetics Simplified contains videos explaining key concepts of genetics. It is made for advanced high school students, university students in introductory biology or genetics classes and anyone interested in genetics.
Videos included on this site have been created by University of Michigan students taking a genetics (Biology 305) class.
The videos have been carefully vetted for quality and accuracy by the Biology 305 instructional team:
Dr. Hilary Archbold, Lecturer IV
Dr. André Green II, Assistant Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (learn more)
Dr. Andrzej Wierzbicki, Professor of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (learn more)
With comments and questions about this site contact Andrzej Wierzbicki ([email protected]). Note that most videos contain machine-generated captions, which may contain minor errors. All videos have been posted with the author’s permission and remain the property of the author.
The Genetics Simplified site is still in development. More videos will be added as soon as they are available. Less than one in ten student-submitted videos is being selected for inclusion in this site.
