Tel Qasile

A further focus of the lecture, the Philistines, merits a closer examination through another trip with Eliav. This time we will accompany him to Tel Qasile, a site near Tel Aviv often associated with the Philistines (cf. Maps). The excavations at the site unearthed numerous finds, chief of which was an ancient temple. As you watch the video, write down the data that seem to indicate a Philistine presence at Tel Qasile. Note: these matters will be dealt with in greater detail in the reading by T. Dothan given below [#20].
