This website is the publishing platform for the concert reviews, local music calendar, and local musician profiles for a course called “Inside the Local Music” at the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Sciences & the Arts. This website’s content, as well as posts made to our Instagram account are published as part of this course’s assigned work, and are meant to publicize and support the network of local musicians and music institutions in our local community of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Our goal is to create a website that acts as a hub to promote shows by local artists from all backgrounds, genres, and followings.

The site’s reviews, calendar, and other content are intended to facilitate engagement with the rich musical offerings in our area and make these performances more accessible to audience members around the region.

This website is created by University of Michigan students for the communities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti to gain a greater understanding of our diverse music scene.
