Math 216

Math 216 Public Course Site

This is the public-facing page for the University of Michigan’s Math 216

Math 216 is a first course in (applied) differential equations.  It seeks to provide a solid, modern understanding of the subject, and is specifically intended for engineers and scientists who will be using differential equations in their work. University of Michigan students looking for a more in-depth treatment of the course material should consider Math 286 or 316 instead.  In particular, note that UM math majors should probably not be in this course! If this is you, talk to a math advisor before enrolling in Math 216.

Important Course InformationIf you are looking for the course site for a current offering of Math 216, you should look for your current Canvas course site.  This is a general information site for the course, which does not include any deadline and assignment information that you need when taking the course.
