Abstract
Personal correspondence created by those who partook in Egyptian artifact acquisitions proves to be essential in understanding the nature of the social networks that emerged in colonial Egypt during the early 20th century. The archival collection of correspondence between Dr. David Askren and Dr. Francis Kelsey proves to be an indispensable resource in the pursuit of a better understanding of these social networks. However, in their raw archival form, these letters are difficult to read and comprehend. This archival collection will be transcribed, revised, and chronologically organized in order to aid scholars who would find this collection integral to enriching their research projects.
