Abstract
This project develops a scalable processor system for generating dynamic acoustic holograms using a phased array of ultrasonic transducers. The system is built using a chiplet-based architecture, where each custom ASIC controls 16 transducer channels with programmable amplitude and phase. Multiple chiplets are then tiled together and synchronized to drive larger arrays, allowing the system to scale to hundreds of channels while maintaining phase coherence across the wavefront. Overall, this project develops a scalable platform for applications such as particle manipulation, medical ultrasound, and haptic feedback.
