Abstract
This study was undertaken as a way to look into the different ways we can help neurodiversity in our campus by providing resources and methods to allow students who are neurodivergent to have full access to these resources in order to reach the goal of being incorporated into the University of Michigan community more. While working on this project I will be using the developments of educational opportunity and surveys to explore how; communities in healthcare can collaborate to create a more equitable system that allows those who are neurodivergent to get the resources they need to understand how the healthcare system works, how to stay healthy/on top of appointments, and any possible accommodations that may need to be in place to make being sick while neurodivergent easier. I will collect data through a survey on those who have been through the University of Michigan health system, staff, and students in order to see how prepared and supported they felt on campus when it comes to healthcare and in times when these individuals are sick/around sick individuals on campus. I would then use the data collected to see what accommodations and courses could be developed to help neurodivergent individuals feel more connected to the campus healthcare system. I would hope that by the full development and success of the project, those who are neurodivergent and are worried about having the resources and knowledge of how to get healthcare and help with their health in difficult times are able to have those resources while also building a connection with others on campus.
