Hi! My name is Venkatesh Alagappan. I’m a sophomore at the University of Michigan pursuing dual degrees in public health and biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience. This summer, I am interning with Hand in Hand India to support their Health Division, bolstering public health initiatives in alignment with governmental schemes and UN SGDs. At the University of Michigan, I’m a part of the the Global Surgery Student Alliance, where I lead a global initiative on patient education to reduce surgical site infections in Ethiopia. Outside academics, I enjoy playing volleyball and experimenting with new recipes.
