Abstract
Prediabetes is a serious public health concern that
affects over 96 million adults in the United States,
with Hispanic/Latino populations experiencing a
disproportionately high prevalence.
Awareness of prediabetes status is low, and the
National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) is underutilized. Limited research exists on strategies to raise awareness of prediabetes and promote enrollment in the National DPP, particularly among populations disproportionately affected by diabetes related disparities.
We developed a 16 page graphic novel style storybook in English and Spanish designed to raise awareness of prediabetes and increase enrollment in the National DPP among Hispanic/Latino adults
