The Jackier Prize in an annual essay competition open to undergraduate students at the University of Michigan who are interested and take courses about the Ancient Mediterranean World. It was established by the Department of Near eastern Studies, the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, and the Language Resource Center (LRC) and it is funded through a generous donation from Lawrence and Eleanor Jackier.
